Here's how to get started

What happens next...

First, get your NMLS number

Head to statemortgageregistry.com, click "Log into NMLS" → "Need an Account," select Individual, and complete the form. You'll use this ID to register for pre-licensing education, schedule your SAFE exam, and apply for your state license.

Mortgage education

20 hours of national pre-licensure education, plus 2–4 hours of state-specific pre-licensure education.

Sign your ORM LOI

Fill out your Letter of Intent, naming Ryan Steer as your sponsor. This locks your spot and lets you start building your network before you're fully licensed.

Pass the mortgage exam

75% to pass the SAFE exam.

Apply with your state

Submit your state license application and background check.

ORM onboarding

Once activated under One Real Mortgage, originate your first loan and start earning on every funded transaction.
